Slumber Party!!!

We had Jared & Lisa's (my sister) kids the other night, and we had SO much fun!! Here is Rees playing out on the deck. She was so cute, we painted her fingernails, and every time I would stop she would growl at me and hold out her hand for more.Ty and Emma were glued together most of the time. Here they are playing Nintendo. She is such a sweetheart!! She had a hard time falling asleep, and ended up falling asleep in Chris's arms, which he loved.
Davis and TJ were a little stir-crazy, so I told them to go outside and play soccer. I guess they weren't too sure of the rules. Instead of kicking the ball into the goals, they threw it over the top, then raced to get the ball first, usually tackling each other. They had so much fun together, and Davis has been missing him so much ever since he left!
After playing outside and eating dinner, the boys had some popcorn. They started out sitting at the bar, and soon the popcorn was gone. When they asked for more, I noticed half the bag ended up on the floor, so I told them to get on the floor and finish. I know, it's terrible, but I promise the floor was clean!
Chris was a huge help! He got all the kids' pajamas on while I made dinner. He loved playing with Rees, she wouldn't stop jabbering at him! We did it! We had 7 kids in all - ages 10, 8, 5, 4, 2, 2, and 1. It got a little crazy at times, but it was so much fun!! We love these kids so much!

Our new back yard!!

It took our family about 8 hours to weed this flowerbed the last time and we decided we had had enough. We put sod in two weeks ago and we think it looks much better! A lot less work too. What do you think?

Halloween!!

This Halloween was perfect! We went and watched the kids do their little parade at school, and later in the afternoon they loaded up on candy at Chris's work. Then we drove up to Farmington, hung out at Grandma Diane's for a little bit...then dropped them off at their Dad's and went out to the Mandarin for dinner. As I said, perfect. We got to spend time with the kids having fun, then we got our date night out!

Ty was a Samurai (but he wanted orange hair like Jenna's.)
Olivia was a beautiful princess (of course.)
Jenna kept changing her mind. For the school parade she was a witch with orange hair, so of course she couldn't wear her cute witch hat and cover it up.
Davis was a clown. As you can see he also wanted orange hair. Chris dressed up as a marathon runner. Too bad he's sitting down, so you can't see his nice running shorts. The kids with Jade and Paige at Grandma Diane's. Jenna has changed outfits (again). We spent hours looking for a costume for this picky girl, ended up buying two, then she decided to wear her pajamas with purple earmuffs.

I had to post this picture of James (Chris's brother).

Kids' Blog

So I'm helping my kids start blogs of their own - hoping it will help all of the family keep in touch with them, and keep up with what they're doing. They will be private, so if you want to be added to their lists send me your email.

Happy Birthday Girls!!

The Girls just had their birthdays. Liv turned 8 on Oct. 7th, and Jen turned 10 on the 21st (Holy Cow). We had fun on their birthdays just staying home and hanging out together, then we had one big party and took them and their friends to Classic Skating. They had tons of fun, even though a couple of the girls had never been skating, and kept falling down. I finally made them stay on the carpet to skate! We had 6 girls and 1 boy (poor Nate). James and Sabrina's son Nate was a great sport, and took turns skating with all of the girls. I don't think it was too hard on him...

We love you girls!!!

Happy Birthday Chris!!

We had a party for Chris on Monday, it was so much fun! Mom and Dad Bolingbroke came over with Grandpa Arnell, as well as James & Sabrina, and Jake & Heather. We had a barbecue, and visited, and then we hooked up Jake and Heather's new toy (Rockband). It was especially fun to listen to James and Chris sing! We are so grateful for Chris, and for the example he is in our family! He works so hard, and is an amazing husband and dad to our kids. Thanks Chris for everything you do. We love you!!

Trip to St. George

We took a trip to St. George this last weekend just to get out of dodge. We met up with Mom and Dad Hubbard and watched Dad run his 32nd St. George Marathon! He is one of 2 people who have run it every year since it started. It was hard to be down there and not be running!! I will definately run it again next year.
We also took a little detour on the way home to Zion National Park and took a hike up to Emerald pools. It was a great trip.

Spencer's New Bullet Bike

The Kids love their Uncle Spencer...and his bike! I have to admit it is a blast to drive. Nancy and I have taken it out several times and it is so much fun!

Our Little Soccer Star

Ty Started Soccer this year and is having a blast! He is getting really good too.
